Donor Recognition Artwork

patinated copper, plywood, paint
8 feet high x 18 feet long x 1 foot deep

This donor recognition artwork is installed in two locations at The Rehabilitation Institute of Toronto. Based on the rugged landscape around Temagami, a relief made of patinated copper depicts a rocky shoreline and boreal forest floor full of native fauna. The commission was an opportunity to offer the residents of this long term care facility, many of whom remain sheltered indoors, some connection to the rural, natural environment.
